Confederate Tin Drum Canteen - Inventory Number: CAN 166 / SOLD

Classic Wartime example of this essential accoutrement.  Measuring 6 ¼” in diameter and 1 ¾ wide, this canteen features the necessary hallmarks of the wartime Confederate manufacture.  The body is nicely soldered together. Both faces are flat. There is a 1" tall pewter spout soldered to the top with a raised tin collar.  The three sling retention bars are firmly attached equidistantly around the body. Accompanied by its original stopper and cork.
