Connecticut National Guard Badge

Connecticut National Guard Badge - Inventory Number: INS 302

Ornate gold and silver engraved badge with enamel inlays.  The hanger is constructed of silver with gold band encircled by blue enamel with a suspension link of an ornate fouled anchor with twisted rope.  The disk is a Maltese cross with center panel reading: “C.N.G.” in monogram script with four blue panels surrounding it.  Atop is a pair of crossed sabers Left panel depicts a large “X” the right panel bears the numerals “13” likely for the regimental association. Abd the bottom panel a pair of crossed cannons.  The original red ribbon is present but separated. A beautiful badge of a Connecticut soldier.

Comes housed in a 6 x 8 inch display case with black velvet backing and descriptive card.
