Ellsworth Tintype - Inventory Number: HAR 195 / SOLD

1/16th Plate tintype image of Col. Ellsworth mounted in ornate brass matting with ring mount.  A pink cardstock label is on the reverse stating: “Colonel Elmer E. Ellsworth Assassinated at Alexandria, May 24, 1861”.  These tintypes were produced of prominent officers and politician and were made by Abbott & Co., of 143 Nassau St. N.Y.

Comes housed in a 8 x 6 inch display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
