Very good condition .577 triangular socket bayonet for the pattern 1853 Enfield Rifle musket, known widely as the second most issued firearm of the Civil war. This example bears a series of hand-engraved numbers on the socket. The metal finish retains strong traces of the original blued finish. The brass mounted leather scabbard is in exemplary condition. A wonderful example overall.
