    Identification Badge, Luther C. Worden, 10th New York Heavy Artillery - Inventory Number: IDE 142 / SOLD

    Silver identification badge in the form of a shield, engraved with crossed cannons and “L.C. Worden. Co. E. 10th N.Y. Art.” Luther C. Worden enlisted as a private in the 10th New York Heavy Artillery in August 1862 and was mustered out in May 1865. His regiment garrisoned forts around Washington DC before seeing action at Cold Harbor, Bermuda Hundred, and Petersburg. The badge measures 1 1/8” in height and has some slight bends, and still retains the attachment pin on the back. 

    Luther C. Worden -34 years old. Enlisted on 8/7/1862 at Ellisburgh, NY as a Private. On 9/11/1862 he mustered into "E" Co. NY 10th Heavy Artillery. He was Mustered Out on 5/25/1865 at Petersburg, VA.

    Comes housed in a 6 x 8 inch display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
