    Model 1842 Springfield Lockplate – Inventory Number: FIR 188 / SOLD

    Springfield musket lockplate marked “SPRINGFIELD / 1852”, manufactured at the Springfield Armory in the year 1852 with eagle and “U.S.” stamp. A common insignia on U.S. military firearms from that era. Lock is in excellent functional condition for display by itself or musket restoration.
