Model 1858 Smooth Side Canteen / SOLD

Classic Civil War US issued smooth side canteen. This one retains all three strap loops and pewter spout. One strap loop has a punched hole for a stopper chain, a typical characteristic of canteens from the New York Depot. The body of the canteen is in good condition with some light rust spots and a few dents from use. The original cloth sling is complete and in good condition. A nice representative Civil War canteen.
