Pistol Cartridge Box - Inventory Number: LEA 044 / Sold
This is an attractive original leather cartridge box. This is the classic military pattern worn by soldiers throughout the Civil War that will look correct when it is displayed with any style of Civil War revolver. It still has the outer flap intact as well as the brass finial on the bottom of the box. The closure tab is present and in fine shape. On the inside body of the box it has the maker marking of the Newark, New Jersey firm McKinsey. On the back side of the box it has both of the original leather loops where the belt would have went through at one time. The leather on this one has a great color with the leather being the untouched blackish color. You can tell that the soldier used this one but never abused it.
