Scarce Civil War Ammunition Crate for the "Lowell Gun" - The Lowell Gun was a four barrel repeating cannon. Hinged crate with dove tail joints. Each side has a wooden handle. Measures approximately 22" x 14 1/4" x 6" deep. Extremely rare and in excellent condition. Front stencil reads, "FOR LOWELL GUN" interior of lid stencil reads, "RETURN SLATS TO BOX".
