    Three Buttons First Day Fight, Gettysburg - Inventory Number:  GET 510 / SOLD

    Two Federal Eagle Buttons one coat and one vest and one Federal Infantry Button recovered from First Day Fight Gettysburg from the Gregory Coco Collection with handwritten documentation of location by Coco. Original fabric remains on the reverse of two of the buttons. 

    The late Coco was a park ranger at Gettysburg deeply interested in the battle and what was left in its wake. The Vietnam veteran wrote eloquently and often about the carnage of war, its terrors and pain, its irreplaceable cost in human life and treasure, and the toll it took on the families who lost sons and husbands there.    

    Comes housed in 6 x 8 riker display case with red velvet and descriptive card.
