Whiskey Calabash Flask - Inventory Number: BOT 086 / Sold
Early pontiled "Sheaf of Wheat" calabash flask with 8-pointed star on back. Bold embossed sheaf of wheat with rake and pitchfork underneath a wreath on front. This bottle is grouped by McKearin as GXIII-42.
Large 8-pointed star on the back with a pair of peened out words arched on back (you can see the nail heads on both of the peened-out plates). Hand blown in mold with a nice applied tapered lip. Beautiful aqua color with ribbed side panels and scalloped shoulder. 9 1/4" tall. Excellent condition. A great looking 1850's whiskey bottle. Complete with its original cork.
