Rare pair of Civil War Smith’s patent shoulder straps for a brigadier general. Smith’s straps featured a stamped brass false embroidery with velvet background and proved very popular with officers during the war. This pair is in exceptional condition with high gilt brass over a black velvet background and are backed with dark blue cloth. Perfect for display on an officer’s frock coat or on their own. 

Comes housed in a 6 x 8 inch display case with blue velvet backing and descriptive card.
