Engineer Officer’s Button - Inventory Number: BUT 321
A superb example of a pre-Civil War era United States Engineer Officer's button with a desirable backmark. Albert # EG-6-TY. The RMDC backmark reads "SCOVILLS & CO : WATERBURY :" The button retains nearly all of its original gilded finish. Button measures 22.71mm.
Button card was de-accessed from the “The National Civil War Life Museum” of Fredericksburg, VA which featured thousands of items pertaining to the daily life of the Civil War Soldier and the era.
