US oval puppy paw belt plate recovered at the Battlefield of Frederick Maryland. A very nice early war example with tapered, smaller tongue some lead loss to the perimeter of the border otherwise good. Nice detail to the lettering with Battlefield. Dirt highlighting the double, oval border and letters US. Location and name of the digger can be provided to the purchaser. 

Comes housed in 6 x 8 riker display case with red velvet and descriptive card.
